What We Do
The Clean Community is a litter abatement program that incorporates the elements of Cleanup, Enforcement, Beautification and Education.
In conjunction with Shelby County Solid Waste and Recycling, Clean Community orchestrates county-wide clean-up days, coordinates community groups to take part in voluntary recycling, clean-up of public lands, proper disposal of household hazardous wastes and other initiatives that promote sound environmental stewardship.
Program Coordinator, Randy Long, also works closely with members of the community to assure compliance of County Ordinance regulations.
