The Shelby County Road Department is responsible for maintaining all county-owned roads within Shelby County, excluding state highways, federal highways, and streets maintained by incorporated cities.
Our team provides routine maintenance, emergency response, infrastructure improvements, and public-facing services to support safe and reliable travel throughout the county.
What We Maintain

Driveway Entrance Permit
A Driveway Entrance Permit is required for any new, modified, or relocated driveway connecting to a county road.
This ensures proper drainage, safe sight distance, and compliance with Shelby County roadway standards.
